Mid-Continent Public Library Summer Reading Program: Register now! Students can start logging their reading minutes on May 16th, which is great, because they will all be reading plenty up thru the last day (June 17th)! They can earn free books and a t-shirt.

Students are using Scratch to code. They are given certain “Must-Have’s” and then, once completed, move on to a “May-Have” list. Click HERE to view an example from what your child did on Thursday, June 2nd.
Coding Vocabulary Warm-Up
We start each coding session off with this warm up. We will continue to add to the slides as more terms are introduced.
Goal: I can solve long division problems.
Math Facts: Reflex
Goal by June 17th = 95-100%
Goal: I can read a text and tell whether it was told from the first or third person point of view.
Also, this coming week, students will reflect on their blogging from the year. They will make their final post and then Digital Volunteers will leave their final comments.
NOTE: Your child’s 3rd grade blog will still be available as they travel on to fourth grade…and beyond (as long as they are in the LPS District)!

There is no homework for the rest of the school year. However, we will send home an optional “Summer BINGO” sheet with each student on the last day, June 17th.
NOTE: We are currently working on individualized homework plans for those students that would benefit from some specific work in the month of July. You will be notified via email if we plan to send one home with your child on June 17th (our last day).
