Exciting News!

Big news in Studio 3!  We are thrilled to learn about a new little girl that will join our world around April 17th!  We can’t wait to meet baby Shannon!

Mon. – HR #1 Library, NO GOTR, Fall Party 2-2:30  *A NOTE ABOUT COSTUMES: Please send, don’t wear, costumes (optional).  We will provide time before the party to change.  Of course, if part of the costume is appropriate and comfortable to wear throughout the day, that would be fine.  In short, we just need to avoid distractions so that learning can still happen.  As always, nothing scaryThank you!

New PBL:  Our History and Freedom

Driving Question: How can we, as third grade historians, gain and show empathy to those who have, and who currently, help to ensure our freedoms?

ELA:  Simple and Compound Sentences

Goal:  I can use both types of sentences to help the flow of my writing.

Ask your child, "What did you and your shoulder partner discover?"

Math:  Reflex (math facts app)

Reflex:  We will continue to move students over to multiplication/division as soon as they pass addition/subtraction!


New Teams

This past week students started off in their new teams.  These will last approximately 6 weeks.

Image:  Shoulder partners playing a game to get to know one another better.  This helps to build the “will to cooperate” for when they are working alongside one another with academic content.
