PBL:  Beyond the Civil War

The African American Civil Rights Movement of the 1950’s and 1960’s

Did the end of slavery mean equality for African Americans?

Students learned that although slavery was abolished at the end of The Civil War, Jim Crow laws were created to segregate African Americans based on the color of their skin.

The Civil Rights Movement:  Students chose a famous leader to study.  Later on, teams completed the Instant Challenge below.

Students read comments from their Digital Volunteers. Next, they took notes about the compliments and suggestions for improvement. Then, they made changes. Finally, they replied back to each DV comment. THANK YOU DIGITAL VOLUNTEERS!
